Our History
From a small town in Sicily, Mr Giuseppe Ferrante descended onto London in the late 60s.
In 1971 he purchased his first hard Ice Cream Van serving a variety of 20 flavours. From the outset the importance of appearance and presentation came into play, illustrated by Giuseppe’s T-shirt.By the late 70’s Giuseppe purchased his first almost new soft ice cream van from Rossi’s of Ruislip.
After spending several years working the everyday rounds and local parks, Giuseppe transcended onto major venues and events acquiring his first concession for the Derby at Epsom Downs in 1976, that same year brought Thruxton Race Circuit and Reading Pop Festival.
Giuseppe’s effervescent personality and business ethics were second to none and with the help of Mrs Ferrante aka Linda the business grew from strength to strength.
By the mid 80’s Mr. Giuseppe Ferrante had imprinted his stamp on the catering world
The 90’s saw Royal Ascot, Silverstone Race Circuit, Biggin Hill Air Show, Brands Hatch, Bournemouth Air Show, Newbury Agricultural Show... the list is endless.
By the year 2000 Giuseppe Ferrante had single-handedly established himself as one of the most successful Ice Cream man in the country.
During his reign his impact was so great that even major brands such as Walls and Lyons Maid had worked alongside him.
